Doing some research, and wondering who'll be trying out Warhammer when it comes out later this fall?

I plan on it. One of my favorite MMO's was Dark Age of Camelot so I am excited to see if Mythic can bring some of the same feeling to the RVR in WAR.

Negative, AoC is a nice sword and spell genre for me.
Though I have been keeping my eye on Champions Online, looking like a good Super Hero genre style MMO.

Unfortunately I'm like a game nympho, so I'm sure that I will at least give it a spin.

From what I'm hearing about Warhammer I'll probably stick with AoC. I've preordered the CE but it might just end up collecting dust. I will be buying GoW2, Fallout 3, Fable 2, and probably more so I'll be splitting gaming time quite a bit.

I am not interested in what I have seen on it so far.
I don't think I would want to invest in more than one MMO at a time anyway.
If I pick up any more games they will be a different style of gameplay like an RTS or FPS.

No interest personally. After being in the Conan universe I don't think I'd ever want to go back to the lands of Elves and Orcs. The graphics, gameplay, and immersion have really hit a sweet spot in Conan for me, and from what I've heard of Warhammer beta, Conan will prob feel like a 3 year old mmo by comparison.

I really like the combat in this game, but if RvR in WAR turns out as good as the developers say, I'm there. Plus an old guild of mine (The Amazon Basin, if you've play Guild Wars, we were the first ever guild of the month, very casual and fun, reminds me of Hammerfist,) is planning on starting a guild for it. Originally I was really attached to AoC, but some things just didn't pan out real well (mainly PvP in all it's incarnations.) it's still an awesome game PvE wise, but it's not the ultimate game for me.
Also someone mentioned Fallout 3, triggering my fanboi-ness. Droolz.

I'm loving most of AoC but like you said Zeh, the PvP isn't really what I'm looking for. I'm not a big PvP guy but there are times when it's fun. For instance, now would be a good time for some PvP. I've hit a wall of glue. I'm not stuck at my lvl but my pace has slackened exponentially. Since crafting is basically broken I would like some PvP. My experiences so far aren't good. I really hope that WAR can pull off the RvR and I can just go play there occassionally.
Oh ya Fallout 3 = Awesome. You get a pet dog named Meat or something. Nothing better than a pet dog in a nuclear wasteland.

You were in Amazon Basin? Heh - I remember them as far back as Diablo 2. Assuming they're the same group with the "Amazon Basin" website.Zeh wrote:Plus an old guild of mine (The Amazon Basin, if you've play Guild Wars, we were the first ever guild of the month, very casual and fun, reminds me of Hammerfist,)
I voted "no" on Warhammer Online. I know almost nothing about it, but I was not really much of a fan of anything Warhammer anyway (never played with the miniatures), and it sounds like a PvPfest, which doesn't interest me. If I'm going to jump ship on AoC it's going to be for something like "the Agency".

Definitely going to Warhammer, my longtime guild has basically been waiting for it since we retired from WoW.
I actually got a closed beta invite the day AoC launched, but I haven't downloaded the beta yet, since I was committed to AoC. The more that AoC frustrates me, the better its looking.
Of course, now that I have access to beta content (forums discussions, beta media) I'm under the NDA and can't tell you why its looking good. But it does

Will definately be trying it.
Im also hoping it will be as good as DAoC which i loved in its day. Will probably still be playing Conan too, that is if they have got their act together a bit more by the time Warhammer launches.
It wont be the first time i have had subs to 2 games at the same time, though i try to draw the line at 2
I hope Hammerfist will start a chapter there, though i should warn you that ill be going Chaos as i cant be doing with all those goody two shoes High Elf types

I will definitely be trying it out. I am still hoping to get into beta at some point, which should be a bit easier once release date approaches. However, I have a strange feeling that Blizzard will be releasing the WoW expansion at the same time, which doesn't bode well for Warhammer. Regardless, I will be giving it a shot mainly because I loved the Warhammer RTS games.

Warhammer
I have it preordered. I loved DAOC and hope Mythic does a good job with War as well. Since I have dropped, WOW, letting LOTRO gather dust, and only occasionally jump into COV for some light hearted fun, I have time to try War.

I'll def be playing it. Whether I play it more then AoC its way to early to for me to make that decision. The RvR seems like it will be a lot of fun. Still wondering how the game is progressing from hearing all the nay sayers from beta spouting its not ready. But then again thats with every game. Hopefully will see it this fall, the more good mmo's out the better.

Ok, I have been in the Beta for 8 (?) months, I'm not sure how much I can discuss about it though with the NDA. All I will say is, I just played the newest release about an hour ago, and after playing AOC, well, it just looks too cartoony for me now.
