How do you "Vent"

After our little meet n greet i thought this poll might be of interest to some.

I think my favorite line of the event was when someone asked if he could use the F word.

I am a big fan of the F-Bombs, so don't be surprised if I use them excessively. Also, don't be afraid to tell me to STFU if I am using that kind of language too much. THere may be many times where I will be half drunk on vent and not realize wtf I am saying.

bad side about vent and big meetings is that one person speaks at a time....and usually....no always when you are fixing to say something another person speaks. I personally like a chatroom with voice...(not sure you can do both at the same time with vent)...but that way everyone can communicate alittle easier. Ofcourse ingame there will be different rooms for groups.

Yes, you can have a chat room while in vent... we do so regularly in PotBS to coordinate Nation meetings; otherwise it would be utter chaos with 40 people all in the same channel trying to talk...

Vent can also be set up so that a leader (say raid leader) can talk to just the group leaders. Then the group leaders can be set up to just talk to each other, and/or their groups, and then the people in a group, in the same channel. Done with different hot keys, and each key will 'call' a different person. I don't know how to set that up, but we have a guy in our PotBS Society who does, if no one here already is on it. I'm working on him to play AoC (and hence join us) as well, of course!
