Gifts aren't important to
me. The biggest part of Christmas is spending time with the family and enjoying each other and enjoying giving gifts to them.
Was fun seeing my sister laugh and grin as she opened her gifts and saw the care bears dolls I got her, yeah...she's 25, almost 26. Nostalgia works wonders at Christmas.
Was fun seeing my mom fawn over the big, plush, Boyd's Bear that I got her. Every year it's the same kinda present, and every year she loves them.
Was fun seeing my dad open up a couple of blu-ray movies that I got him, and look at me funny. He didn't have a blu-ray player, then the light bulb comes on, now he does.
Was fun hooking up the blu-ray player...I went to try and configure his entertainment system and just shook my head. He had so many wires going so many different places and everything connected in such a convoluted manner it took me 2 hours to undo everything and get things straightened out and put back together.
Was fun introducing my dad and sister to Guitar Hero World Tour and watching them struggle through a few songs. Was fun to watch my sister pick it up almost immediately. Was fun to watch my dad search through a hundred songs just to find the few that he knew and play them over and over again.
Was fun playing board/card games with the family and yelling and screaming and laughing together.
Was fun stuffing my face with my mom's great cooking.
My presents were all great, but the one that stands out the most...My sister made me 3 jars, one for coffee, one for tea, and one for sugar, decorated and color coordinated for the kitchen in my new house. They were really nice since they were hand made, and I promptly broke one this morning...I was pissed.
Anyways...I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas with Family and will have a great New Year's Eve/Day.
