Having done and had this done (unsuccessfully - tip: when changing the locks, you need to do more than switch the tumblers if the former boss has the master key), he's off with his resume.

Usually if the means of access are changed, somebody got fired. Changing locks, disabling accounts, etc all comes down to the same thing: somebody is persona non grata.

No he is not the only one with keys........

Also update real quick....

He came in early this morning and packed up some of his personal belongings and also had me cover his shift because "he had another meeting with the owner this morning at 8am cst...it is now 11am and have not heard anything from him...but his wife is a personal trainer and she was up here this morning training as if nothing were wrong...????

Well, considering you don't know the whole story and are not privvy to such information it's not really something you can assume, as in..he got fired. Who knows, he may have gotten promoted and is moving to another office or maybe he decided to move on to another job that possibly pays more or has a better work environment. Since more than just 2 ppl have keys to that place the reason for changing the locks doesn't necessarily have to be because of him it could just be for security measures in general.

Eh, just my thought. Hell, I don't work there...So i don't really know.

I appreciate the ideas.....There are to many variables to consider at this point...(we are locally owned so he would not be Relocated anywhere)(He moved here last year from about 3 hours away to take this job) Honestly dont think he found something better...hmmm...(maybe?) lol...

Also just an FYI...im the assistant manager..so one would think i would be privy to the info but i guess not lol......Also We work at Gold's Gym...

So, are you in line to take over as manager? Depending on the reason why he was fired, I'd be careful about taking his place.

They have put an interim GM in place for a few months to get things running smoothly..(this guy has no clue how to run a GYm but he knows how to run a business) On the other hand they will more than likely make me the GM...Which I will accept then a few months later quit(hopefully) as I am in the process of Applying to become a Police Officer!
