A) WAR. There are a few games in the future that I want to try (Stargate, Star Wars, Star Trek...it's a theme) but it's All War, All The Time right now.
Q) Have you read our Code of Conduct and Forum Rules?
A) Yes and yes.
Q) Are you at least 18 years of age? [yes, no, actual age is optional]
A) At least, yes. I'm 29. And I'll be 29 next year too if the universe knows what's good for it. /fistshake
Q) Have you read at least one of our example applications? [this is highly recommended]
A) At least, yes.
Q) Do you have any relatives or friends currently in the guild, or were you recruited by someone? If so, who?
A) Nope, not unless my neices are leading a secret MMO/Grade school double life. Which is possible, seeing how one of them already has a Sorcerer on her father's account.
Q) Name: [planned in game/forum name]
A) Forum: Zee
In Game: Zeenaida Macroura, Zealot, 28. It's the scientific name of the Mourning Dove, see. And she's a Zealot so the gear is all feathery and bird-like, and then I dye it all grey and white lika a dove...see...so...it's a thing. Shut up.
Alt: Zeezard, Maurader, 13. For when I get tired of the satisfaction of a good heal and want the visceral joy of gutting someone with a blade that used to be my freaking arm.
Alt: Manly, the world's worst Witch Elf, 8. I should be legally barred from using stealth classes.
Q) Gender: [female, male]
A) Female, man.
Q) What region do you live in? [City and State is fine.]
A) Canada, Alberta, Small Prairie Town
Q) How did you hear about us: [friend, another member, forum, google, other mmo's, etc]
A) I've seen some of you running around in-game and found your recruitment thread on the WarhammerAlliance.com forums.
Q) Are you currently in any other AoC, LOTRO, or Warhammer guilds?
A) Nope. I'm guildless, like an animal.
Q) Have you applied to any other guilds?
A) Nope. I did join another guild for a little while but there was no application process. It wasn't right for me and I left on good terms.
Q) We like to have fun, how's your sense of humor? Not so good? Good? You're a standup comedian you say?
A) Liar, I never said that.
My sense of humor has been called sarcastic, though I think I'm much more of a doofus than that implies. I like to take things literally and/or act a bit dumb for the sake of a good joke. Also, puns are awesome. The Lesser of Two Weevils joke in Master and Commander will never not be the funniest thing ever.
I do like to have fun outside of joking around too, it's why I play these games. I think this gives me a fairly laid back play style, I tend to shrug it off if someone is being a jerk or a cheater or a ninja looter. Yes, report them to their guild/Mythic, but that epic cloak is not coming back so lets keep going with the fun part of our entertainment.
Q) What other MMO's have you played if any: [Acquired a few skills from some other games eh? Tell us about them]
A) My first MMO was WoW for maybe two years. Learning raids was fun, farming raids and grinding gold to farm raids was boring and joblike. I've also played LOTRO (Sam!), FFXI (LFG!), and AoC (Hookers and lag spikes!).
Skills I learned from other games:
Mario- You'll die if you jump down there.
Tomb Raider- Jump any ways, it's fun!
Sim City- The pain of others is entertaining.
The Sims- Really entertaining.
Minesweeper- Click it, click it now! Faster!
Skills I didn't learn from anywhere:
PVP. Yeah, I was a woobie carebear healbot (and so on) and this is the first time I've ever really focused on PVP. It's fun but panic inducing and I would certainly say that I'm still in the learning stages, though I feel like I'm improving daily. I'm hoping to grow even more if I get to join the guild and group with more experienced players. Orders and advice will be gladly received.
Q) What makes you want to join us over some of the other guilds? [let us know!]
A) I just knew. Other guilds looked fine, or good, in that "These guys would work" sort of way but Hammerfist Clan was the only one that had me saying "Yeah, that's my guild." I've had that feeling in other games and ended up in some really great guilds that fit me (and I fit them) perfectly, so I knew right away that I'd be applying.
Specifically? I like the tone of the recruitment post and what I can read of the forum, I nodded along with everything in the Code of Conduct and the Forum Rules, I think the website is fantastic, I find the application system reassuring, and I like cheesecake which is both pie and cake.
Q) Please tell a little about yourself, aside from gaming. Perhaps some hobbies, about your work, favorite story etc.
A) Hi, I'm Toni. I'm just a small town girl living in a lonely world. I don't take midnight trains going anywhere, but I do take buses. Not midnight buses though, I tried that once on the way home for Christmas and ended up in a bus that was stuck sideways straddling a road. The driver went the wrong way and then attempted a U-turn that..well...failed. There's nothing like seeing a semi-truck driving towards your impromptu, passenger filled roadblock and thinking "Does he see us? He sees us, right? Oh god I'm going to get trampled to death before he even gets here."
I'm the curator in a small museum but since it's usually just me I'm pretty much the everything, I clean rare and delicate antiques and also the bathroom. It's a good job. I like hearing people's stories, I enjoy highly detailed cataloging, and I get to play with glue and nails. I'm also told that I might like labeling things a little too much. If I ever get a labeling machine my cupboards are doomed. The museum is closed for the winter now, though, so I'm spending my new free time trying some graphic design work for a woman making a childrens book. It's all new to us both, so there is a lot of trial and error but I'm proud of what I've done so far.
When I'm not labeling, getting trampled, or simulating war in a virtual environment I geek it up in very nonunique ways. I read fiction, sci-fi/fantasy and humor mostly, with a hugh collection of Pratchett books and several fantasy series. I like tv, I like movies, I sometimes even like made-for-tv movies. I watch stupid videos online and then show them to other people. Sometimes they laugh. I enjoy camping and fishing, though I haven't had the opportunity to go in a while, and I especially like camping with kids so I can play in the dirt and pretend it's for their benefit. Yeah, sure it is.
Please remember to register here on these forums, if you haven't already?
A) Sure.
Q) Do you have any questions for us?
A) Could I have a single burger with cheese, hold the tomato, and a medium fries?
