    Some of us have started making basic mods, scripts and otherwise fun stuff for the game. I for one have started messing with the .xml to mess around with the UI.

    Koda posted a great guide for an in-game recruitment info script located here (or in the stickies)

    If anyone has suggestions or questions (I'm sure I'll have some for those who know xml better then I Smile) feel free to post

    I've messed with the friends list a bit and I *think* I got it to work, I just wont know for sure until the game comes up.

    As for the chat, there is a small/medium/large option if you right click the tabs but if you're looking for smaller I'll look in to that too.

    Yea even smaller if it is not too hard. I have this large widescreen plus I got Lasik done about 7 years ago and I see 20/15. Both of that adds up to I generally have fonts small when I can.

    But even if you cannot change the chat making those sidebars smaller would be the biggest help because I can still have the 2 chat windows. Right now I have 15 slots on each bar and it is filling up fast. Based on the fact I still have about 5 more pets and lots more spells coming I know I will want more.

    Hey, if you find anything out, let me know. I've been trying to get a ui mod going.. but I really need to be able to mod the graphics. I haven't figured that out yet. Be interested to know what you've tried, got nothing but time while the servers are down. Wink

    So far I've changed the group indicators on the map, made the friends list expanded on open, adjusted the chat font and I *think* i made the extra toolbars smaller and I'm working on a script for custom waypoints. I just cant test anything until the servers go back up.

    ok riddle me this, custom map nodes have got to be saved locally, can we somehow extract the info and share them? aka share the resource map so we can save time

    assuming I can get my script to work, yes. I'd just have to post it so everyone could use it.

    Ya, I was looking at that. He just took out all the window frames to give the UI a minimalistic look.

    Tried this UI mod at 1900x1200 on a 24" monitor and it is icons are very, very small. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone running higher resolutions unless you like a very small UI

    As you can see, I have wayyyy too many buttons there. So, what I was looking for was 2-3 main bars. 1st bar to be a 15-button bar as shown underneath my target's frame but needed to be on the left side of the screen if possible ; 2nd bar will be a 3x3 bar consisting of 9-buttons that will be bound to the number pad ; 3rd bar can be in between the 1st bar (the left side default 6-button bar wld be perfectly fine) with the soul fragment box on top of it--also bindable. I know this is an undertaking as the AoC UI can be cantankerous for the most part, but hopefully it won't be too much of a hard one. Here's to hoping Funcom allows API modding soon.

    The file is easily modified to make the buttons bigger. It's basically just cutting and pasting 3 different numbers into the xml file. I've already modified mine and will test when server is back up. If all works, I'll post the fix here.
