    I've heard some people say they'll be running DX9 for better performance, some say DX10 for better looks. Then I've heard arguements that DX10 will be optimized for AoC so it will actually run just as good if not better than DX9. On the other side of the arguement I've heard that DX10 really wont make much of a difference visual wise so they're going to stick with DX9.

    So what will you be using?

    Personally I intend to use DX10. I dont want to miss out on extra detail.

    From what I have seen so far, Vista is still a crappy platform for gaming....so I will remain on XP and thus DirectX 9

    I'll try dx 10 to see how the performance/graphics are compared to dx 9, since i made the switch to vista 64 a couple days ago. But the nice thing is if it doesn't pan out switching is easy.

    use direct x10 while playing lotr online and the game looks pretty dam good....and i dont have any uncommon issues.

    WIll be getting a new PC next month. Hope to have 2 8800 GTX's in SLI also, so it will be DX9 to start then DX10 when I swap computers

    DX10 with dual 8600M GTs for me, though the Vista that will come on the notebook is 32 bit Mad

    DX9 on XP for my wife and son, as I'm too cheap to buy more Vista upgrades Embarassed

    I have a Dell XPS 720 with only one 8800 GT 512MB OC with 2GB of RAM.

    I will probably try DX10 at first, but will depend on performance.

    I gotta use DX9 as I'm Vista-less and sadly, my computer gets upset running Vista. I know this b/c I set it up once and bad things happened.
