Nywen - Join! LotRo [APPROVED]

Konichiwa, Ny-san. I spent some time in Japan, a long time ago, while I was in the Air Force. I was assigned to a "remote" facility on Kyushu, outside of Fukuoka. But I digress.

My concern here is the time diference. Most of us are here during what would be the morning for you. It is quite possible that you could be one of only a few, if not the only one from the Clan on at the time. What are your thoughts on that?

As for prolonged abscences, we have had to take them from time to time. If you drop us note either in The Prancing Pony forum, or the General Forum in the AFK thread, you will be covered until your return.

Great app! However, I have the same question as Breygon, what are your normal playing times? I think you are about 12 hours difference in Japan as compared to EST? Or is it 13 hours? (In a former position, I supported one of my company's lab sites in Banyu and I was always trying to remember the time difference when setting up teleconferences.)
We do have a smaller contingent of folks that play during the daytime in the US, but the majority of our players are online in the evenings.
Concerning longer absences, as long as we know what your status is, it's no problem. People usually post on the board if they are going to be away a while.

I really like this app as well, but I also have the same question of play time. Like the others have said we do have a few people that are on in the day but we're mostly on in the evenings here. I do think the diversity will be great if the play times are not an issue.

It all comes down to the time difference. If you do not see it being an issue, I don't either. The bulk of us are on between 6PM and 12AM EST. But we do have a few people that log in during the day.

You might find a drunk dwarf or lazy hobbit in the kin from time to time as well, but they are still fun to hang with.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that, the time thing. I normally play during the morning hours because that's when my daughter's in school and the husband is at work (when his not out floating somewhere out in the Pacific). Once in a while I jump on in the evening but its usually to get some things done like crafting - seriously who wants to be farming taters during prime time right?

So the time difference wouldn't be a problem. The only thing is that during the weekdays, I have get off at 1:45pm Japan time (I think that's 11:45pm EST if I converted time right) because school gets out here at 2pm and I have to pick up my daughter. But I'm usually back in like 20-30 mins.

As for my current kin, I was planning on leaving them pretty much whether or not I'm accepted here. They aren't a bad group of guys and 1 gal but I just don't think I belong even after being with them for a few months.

I do not see the break at 11:45 PM EST as being a problem on a week night. Possibly half of the kin is logging out by then to get some sleep. But there are a few of us still on after that. I live in CST and we also have a few in Mountain and Pacific that are on a bit later.

looks good to me as well, if Ny feels that her play schedule would work well with the kins that is great. i would just hate for her to join and never see anyone if she played at odd hours relative to US time zones.
