Okay, Nomad gave me this idea when I say that voluptuous, plumpkin, ungendered ass.
Post (or name) that one (or 2 max) movie that is just so fricken horrid or hardcore to watch. A movie that identifies & typifies what Halloween is all about. A movie that makes you squeamish or cringe without you even knowing it. Name it!
I have two.
First... Audition
Secondly, also by the same director but with a little more CGI cheese.. Ichi The Killer

The press was in shock after Audition. So was I. It starts off as a rather simple drama, goes through a phase of a mediocre thriller and ends up being an unalloyed horror movie full of gore.
Audition had its share of audience walk-outs. When shown at the 2000 Rotterdam Film Festival, one enraged woman viewer confronted Miike (director) by shouting at him: "You're evil!"During uncensored members-only shows at the Irish Film Institute in Dublin in 2001, some patrons collapsed in apparent shock. One audience member was rushed to the St. James's Hospital but later discharged himself.

The packaging to the DVD lists a 115-minute running time for the film, when in actuality it runs about 111 minutes. The original version of
Ichi is said to run upwards of 125 minutes, herein lies the controversy. This DVD of Ichi (currently the only home version of the
film) is said to be severely cut which blows my mind. If this is the stuff they left in I can only imagine what they took out. That said,
this version of Ichi is so intense I can't imagine not picking it up solely based on concerns of the edits. I was a bit apprehensive at
first, I figured if they cut out 15 minutes they must have cut out all the "good" stuff. Not the case, and until a fully uncut version
surfaces, this DVD is a bargain at under 15 bucks locally and about 6 bucks direct from Hong Kong. There is a Japanese DVD in the works,
which will most definitely NOT include English subs, and will most definitely be a very expensive import. I have to give this DVD one of
my highest recommendations for anyone looking for something gory, absurd, offensive, disgusting, and very, very cool.
One of his most controversial films was the ultra-violent Ichi the Killer (2001), adapted from a manga of the same name and starring Tadanobu Asano as a sadomasochistic yakuza enforcer. The extreme violence was initially exploited to promote the film: during its international premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2001, the audience received "barf bags" emblazoned with the film's logo as a promotional gimmick (one typically flamboyant gory killing involves a character slicing a man in half from head to groin, and severing another's face, which then slides down a nearby wall).
However, the British Board of Film Classification refused to allow the release of the film uncut in Britain, citing its extreme levels of sexual violence towards women. In Hong Kong, 15 minutes of footage was cut. In the United States it has been shown uncut (unrated).
