A)I'm accepting of all kinds of humor. Poop, food, race, fart, smart, drunk, slapstick, internet fads, you name it. Nothing is offensive to me after spending months in a WoW guild full of the good stuff.
Q) What other MMO's have you played if any: [Acquired a few skills from some other games eh? Tell us about them]
A)Well, I missed the UO and EQ boats, because I started MMOing with some obscure Eastern ones like Priston Tale and Ragnarok. Spent a while playing any Korean MMO that came out. Heard about WoW from a friend and played that. Lots of quality in that game and my guild was pretty decent and a hilarious bunch of folks. They however never really got anywhere PVE wise, leading me to quit instead to focus on school better. I ended up played WoW until a few months before BC came out. I don't have much info about the state of the game since then except "lorelol" and Death Knights. Over the next few years I played EQ2, EVE (which I didn't expect to be incredibly boring, based on what forums have said), AO, Ryzom, CoH/CoV, MxO, LotRO, Tabula Rasa (I'm sorry), and AoC.
AoC was a game I thought would go far. I bought the CE and joined a pre-release guild expecting to stay there for a year minimum. This game also marked the first time I used Ventrilo. People told me my voice isn't that distinctive I was surprised when I hit 80 on my Demonologist in 4 days. Turns out I was exploiting a broken spell or something that let all mobs kill themselves when they touched me. I ended up waiting a week for the rest of my guild to catch up, since I was the only Demonologist. We spent a good time getting blues from epic Kesh and then we started raiding. It was at this time that bosses were bugging out; Vistrix kept resetting, Kylikki kept healing even after the spellguards were dead, Yakhmar's adds spawned way too fast. The guild grew frustrated with raiding and eventually many key members stopped logging in. We tried to get some PVP in, being on a PVE server. Sieges were broken and nobody was doing the minigames. Eventually we had to merge with another guild. For a few weeks I waited for Funcom to add in more content and fix things they broke. Their lack of communication and dedication to NOT fixing the things everyone wants fixed led me to quit the game. From there I started following WAR, the next big game. Ordered the CE because I had some extra cash and the bonuses looked really cool. From what I played in the PWs and OB, this one is a whole lot better than AoC, especially the PVP. Not sure about the PVE outside of PQs. I heard there are dungeons and king raids, but I unfortunately haven't gotten the chance to try them.
I guess I'll stop there since I don't want to Jigglypuff you guys.
Q) What makes you want to join us over some of the other guilds? [let us know!]
A)I'm in school at the moment and I'm kind of slow when doing homework, so I won't be able to play 15 hours a day. A casual guild suits me just fine in this game, since there doesn't seem to be too much of a "hardcore" side to WAR, like spending 6 hours in a raid. And, I hope to not get drilled too hard for playing a gimped Squig Herder. Older members means more mature conversations and humor which was a big factor in my brief enjoyment of AoC. Also, I find it funnier when a grown man/woman makes a poop joke.
Q) Please tell a little about yourself, aside from gaming. Perhaps some hobbies, about your work, favorite story etc.
A)Some things I like to do is draw, construct 3D models in Maya/Zbrush, watch TV, eat chicken nuggets with Pop Tarts, and download the occasional anime. I don't have a job right now because I want to concentrate on my studies more (yeah that's a totally reasonable excuse, all right!). Stuff I eat on a weekly basis includes sandwiches, Pop Tarts, chicken nuggets, frozen french fries, kettle chips, ice cream sandwiches with more than one flavor, and bacon.
