If you were looking to buy that level 80 purple weapon now is the time. prices as of this morning were way down. I bought the top assassin dagger for 10 gold, last week it was going for 70+ gold. If you find a blue or purple drop i would wait until after they fix the loot tables (i'd guess it will happen with the next patch) before putting your items up for sale when the prices will shoot back up.

I found the level 79 purple assassin's dagger in the guild zone the other day, posted it on the AH for 30g, and it sold in half an hour (at like 2AM).
Cash is like water at the high levels, and there are no established money sinks outside of horses, so, the purple gear isn't all that expensive in reality.
