A) Like I said, grouped with a few members and then decided to hunt you down on the forums.

A) Yes. But it is just a personal Guild with only a couple of close personal friends. I am intrested in questing and raiding with a larger guild. I would like to contribute to a guild city and all that that implies.

A) No.

A) I like to laugh, but not at someone elses expense. I like to have fun while gaming, otherwise it is not very enjoyable. I don't take thing to seriously (if it can be helped).

A) Wow - Tank and Mage. CoH - Tank and Mage. Capable of organizing/leading groups and/or raids. Enjoy helping others with leveling and questing, or even just providing general information for people with questions.

Q) What makes you want to join us over some of the other AoC guilds? [let us know!]
A) I have not really looked into any other AoC Guilds. Got to start somewhere I guess, eh?

A) Job: Sales Associate at a Smoke Shop. Hobbies: Art, Music - Heavy Metal (Guitar/Bass and Vocals), Gaming, Reading, and thats about it...

A) Yes. Will everyone hold off on DPSing until I build some agro?! (lol)

CONAN: I have been a big REH fan ever since I was kid. I have a huge collection of books, comics, and mags, and have read just about everything there is to read about Conans world. REH was a great author and I am glad to see his work become more and more popular (Conan is perfect for this type of game!). Sucks that REH ended his own life at an early age.

GAMING: Gaming is the main type of entertainment for me. I spend very little time watching tv. Maybe a movie once in a while, but I would rather do soemthing interactive. I also spend a lot of time reading to pass the hours at work. Most of the stuff I read pertains to gaming as well. Conan (obviously), Warhammer, WoW, Wheel of Time, Magic the Gathering. The list goes on and on...

MUSIC: Although I try to be open minded and enjoy many types of music, my true passion is for Heavy Metal. Helloween type stuff. I could name bands all day long, but generally anything with great guitar work and good vocals. Right now I am currently listening Labyrinth - Freeman, Highland Glory - Forever Endeavor, and Domine - Emperor of the Black Runes. I also spend alot of my free time playing Guitar/Bass and working on vocals for with my band Swordplay. We are currently working on some cover songs from the bands mentioned above, but we are also working on some original stuff as well.

PERSONAL: I am a single father (my 15 year old daughters name is Athena) who works as much as possible, while still allowing time for hobbies. Of course, I enjoy spending time with Athena, but at her age, it is almost impossible to keep up with her, or keep track of her for that matter (lol). I consider myself to be a nice, fun-loving, loyal person who likes to keep things simple.

World of Warcraft: Tanking has always been the most fun for me. I had a lot of good times in the WoW Guild I was a member of (TheImpishOnes on Burning Legion). Got as far as Gruuls Lair before deciding to take a long over due break. Luckily, AoC came out before I was forced to go back to WoW!

Note: One thing I hope will be added to AoC is the ability to Mark up the mobs. makes it easy to organize and keep track of whos attacking or ccing what mob.

City of Heroes: I loved Tanking in CoH and CoV. Nothing like being a fire tank! Being able to gather huge mobwaves and jump into a dumpster and burn them all down! Ah, the stories I could tell... (lol) Of course I played many other archetypes, but fire tank was by far my favorite.

I have played many other games, but none have had quite the impact on me as these two have. I have no regrets as far as the crazy amount of time any money spent playing them or AoC! =P

I recently built a new computer for AoC. Figured I would post the specs for everyone to see, cause after all, who wants thier tank laggy and dcing? (I am not by any means trying to brag, I just want to show that I am serious about playing this game).

Partial to a spot of heavy metal myself now and then and used to be a singer in a rock band back in the day. Husband was the guitarist..its how we met much fun!

So you have a 15yr old daughter..you have my sympathy hehe. I remember my girls when they went through the "hormone" years.
15's not too bad though, 16 is worse, as for 17 hehe j/k..... well sortof
Thank god they come out of them, by 20 both my girls were completely rational again if that was a permamnent state i think wed all go insane.

Of course as this is the price we have to pay to have wonderful daughters we are all glad to pay it

Incredible app! You have the thumbs up from me in a big way. The detail provided really helped me get a sense of who you are and I thought it was very personal.

Quick question of curiosity (because these things interest me) you say your daughter's name is Athena. Is she named for the Who song (not sure, you have that musical influence...), are you of Greek background, or did you just like the name ? I think it's awesome and always like seeing the lesser used names. Probably because mine is so ridiculously common.

Last followup...you say you are in a guild of close personal friends right now. How many people are in that guild? Do they know you are planning on leaving? if they do know how do they feel about it? Is there any thought to bring them over to HFC?

This forum eats alot of ports, eh? after the third time I decided to make this reply short and sweet.

Athena's mother picked the name out when we were kids. We had her when we were 19. I am sure it came from greek mythology.

There are only 4 other people in Swordplay, and they are all real life friends who are casual players. They know I am taking my tank and joining a bigger guild. It was the same in WoW. I play a hell of a lot more than all of them. They dont recruit anyone who is not a local friend.

I know you guys are are not into double guilding, but I hope this situation allows me to slide by. If not, I would understand though.
