Changing text colors!

Found this on the AoC forums:

You will find a file called Text Colors. If you open the file you can see all the settings for your chat text.

Copy this file and paste it in the following folder

The top section will give you some very basic colors with their HTML color code. Just find the color you want and replace it in the respective slot below.

For example the default guild chat is :

HTMLColor name="ctch_clan_text" color="0xbf00bf" />

Now I want this to be green cause thats what I'm use to from WoW so I look above and find Green

Code:

HTMLColor name="green" color="0x008000" />

Now all I have to do is take the last part

color="0x008000"

and replace it in the bottom section to look like

Code:

HTMLColor name="ctch_clan_name" color="0x008000" />
HTMLColor name="ctch_clan_text" color="0x008000" />

Save your changes close it and you are all set.

Good find though, reading that dull grey OOC text is giving me eye strain, and the purple is waaaaaay annoying.

So has anyone gotten this to work? That purple is drivin me nukin futs! I did as directed but there are no changes.

I admit I saw this a few days ago and tried it. It didn't work for me. I might have done something wrong but tbh I'm used to the default colors now. Also I made my chat box way less transparent and now I can read all the text perfectly.

I have tried numerous times - it never works for me.

Same with me.

Got the Custom UI to work, but not the text color change. At first I thought it was a Vista thing that wouldn't let me do it... But XP on my wife's PC wouldn't convert it either.

Any finds out what the deal is please let us know!

Won't work cause funcom hasn't allowed us to change text colors yet.

EDIT: Nevermind, funcom made guild text green this morning
