I was a cleric in eq1, cleric in DAoC and Warden (melee spec aa path) in Eq2. I don't play alts as if I do, well I never stay focused and I just love to be a healer type

I have a baby warden in EQ II. Fun class, great spell animations. I'll have to work on her some more. In between AoC and Warhammer in October, of course.

I played eq2 to hold me over till Aoc. I loved, loved (did I say love) DaoC but EA came in and the game went downhill. My long time guild there spread like leafs in the wind, so I was sort of stuck waiting for something to come along.

Heard about AoC, but I avoided reading up much and really want to have that "new mmo smell" when the games goes live. I have early access btw. Did not beta and just reading up a little on the 3 healers to pick which one would fit me best.

BTW, I registered here on the forums and got the email saying I did, but won't let me log in. /shrug

Ah real life. sorry my last post was cut short. Wife came home with the kids..

Little more info. 40 year old with family and demanding job. I play mostly nights around 7pm est till 11pm and then weekend evenning. Like I said earlier,. I avoid alts. I really enjoying rolling a healer class, taking them up via guild groups thru the pve content and (well in DAoC) RvR fights. nothing is more rewarding then a tough fight where everyone worked well together to get the job done.

That said, I laugh at a good wipe and never take the game too seriously. I have vent/teamspeak and enjoy chatting away as I play..

Not sure what else to add, so feel free to shoot me any questions you all have if I have not given enough background for you.

App is a bit thin but the follow ups are nice.

Believe it or not, I think our average age is somewhere around 34. 38 almost 39 here myself.
Queen rocks!

I like to play support classes also. Healing in AoC is tough.. Most of the heals are Heal over Time and are cast in a Cone or radius from you. So if you position your self right then you can get the tanks all in one shot. Timing is the hard part.

Thanks for the feedback on how the healing works. I would think carrying two healers
might be a good plan..
Hearing about the average age also is great. No offense meant, but after a day at work,
getting kids from sports, their homework done and family time, I love to relax and play
online with a mature crowd.
Queen is great, eh? Wife is a huge Jimmy Buffet fan, so I also enjoy his music.
By the way, a huge sports fan here also. Football then baseball are my favorites to
follow.
If anyone has more questions, just ask. happy to answer.

Just one more random thought.
I live in NY so EST here. I play mostly on weekends and at night after the kids go to bed.
So not sure where everyone else is located, but at least you know when I would be around
I really hope some of the siege warcraft here captures what DaoC was like back in the day
If anyone played DaOC you would remember Emain and the fun time taking, holding, defending
keeps were then. The teamwork of a good MMO is really something I enjoy..
Anyway, in other random thoughts, The Rays are in first place and Yanks in last. Who would
have thought that six weeks ago..

I set it up so I have the whole weekend off. Invited the in-laws to also spend the weekend
with us.
That way, they will go with my wife to the soccer game, get dinner out (and bring home take out)
and give me a full weekend of playing AoC. The wife is great about my little
passion.

Oh the suspense is killing me...

I was lazy at work today. Spend most of it reading up on the three healing classes in AoC. I am down to either the Tempest of set of the Bear Shaman. Both have a ton of appeal to me.

I have a hard time with applications. They tend to lead you into one way of thinking and my nature is to just get to the next one and then move on.

I hope taking the time to post replies and expand on topics based on your feedback has showned my true interest.
