OMG, you aren't kidding about Canadians and their ketchup. My ex put it on everything! It drove me crazy. He also loved gravy. Gravy on fries, on all meats, vegetables (if he actually ate them).

Publicly, I like all types of condiments on the hot dog.
But making it at home is a little different:

- heat up the hot dogs and the buns.
- sour cream the bun
- dash a pinch of salt on the bun
- lay your dog down
- cover with chopped tomatoes and onions
- using a butter knife, skim the top of the hot dog with another layer of sour cream
- finally, another pinch of salt on top.
- garnish with pickled jalapenos.
- THAT is the home version of an awesome hotdog. Try it!
