Hey all!

So I know a lot of us are having the MMO blues right now.

I am just starting this poll to see if anybody at all has any interest in playing Guild Wars. Not necessarily to start another Guild Branch (we're kinda slow right now anyway) but even just to get a team of sorts together.

My fiance and I started to play GW when the first campaign was released about 4 years ago. We've had periods where we didn't play it for months on end and would all of a sudden install it again for kicks. In other words, it's great for those gaming slumps. And for when you are frustrated because you've died 10 times trying to get a quest done.

It's free to play and they are running a great deal right now where you can get Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall bundled together for $50 and they are all separate games. So essentially, that is hours of entertainment. The graphics are pretty and the music is top notch (I'm a huge music nerd.) Not to mention, the level cap is only 20 but there is so much to do after you hit that cap. Such as 15K armor, hard mode, Titan quests, plus Guild v. Guild PVP. We would like to attempt hard mode at some point (once we learn our toons again) and it is impossible without a good team.

We have a ton of experience with it, we just haven't actually committed ourselves to it in about a year so we are "relearning".

Or maybe there is some interest for GW 2? GW 2 is a completely separate game from the four original campaigns and takes place 250 years after. So naturally, you won't be able to transfer your character to that game.

We have the Prophercies and Nightfall campaigns, but we will buy the other two (Factions and Eye of the North) if there is enough interest shown.

Sorry, I didn't mean for that to come out as an advertisement. I've just never had a game keep my interest for so long.

I have thought about checking out Guild Wars a few different times, but I'm not sure if I'll like it and I also have a hard time making time for more than one MMO at a time.

I MIGHT be able to get trial codes for those that are interested.

Need another option; I have a GW toon, or ten, and would be happy to stick it in the guild for when I get the urge to play, which is about twice a month. lol

Forget it guys. I thought my fiance was getting into a game again and after playing it for 3 hours yesterday, he said he was bored and went to sleep again. So I guess that we won't really need a team for hard mode and such for a while. Sorry to waste everyone's time.

I hope that he gets over this depression soon, it's starting to bring me down.

I'll actually log on to LOTRO when I get home from classes today. I miss it.

I know how that is first hand. A gf that I lived with had frequent bouts of depression. Hang in there.

I bought whatever the 1st Guild Wars was with the expansion Eye of the North. Never got all that far in it, was dabbling in a bunch of games at that time. I did enjoy it though.

I'm usually the one that gets that way. lol I've been dealing with it for a while though.

He's worried about his job, they just did a bunch of layoffs and I'm unable to work right now. I would be depressed too!

I just like the fact that GW takes more skill then most other MMOs I've played. You're only allowed eight skills at a time.
