Well, I have taken the plunge and I am currently downloading the Public Beta of Windows 7. The reason that I am doing this because XP is about reach the end of it's support life cycle and Vista is currently the new Windows ME. There are also rumbles at work at starting a pilot program to test Windows 7. Since I work in support, I figured I might as well get a head start on this thing. (I swore I would never test another operating system after testing Windows 95, but I am don't see much choice in the matter.)

I'll let you know how it goes.

Pray for me, brothers and sisters. If this turns out like Win95, I am going to need all the moral support I can get. (My wife has already started talking about committing me to a mental hospital.)

You have no idea how many times I have wanted to say something like that when I was manning the phones!! I am going share that with my peeps in support.

As for the cartoon above, when you have been in support as long as I have you get some real winners. My favorite is as follows:

Me: "ISP Help Desk, this is Mike. How can I help you?"

Female User: (explains her problem)

Me: "Ma'am, it sounds like you have a virus."

Female User: "No, I feel fine."

Me:


The real kicker is the I worked from home. My grandson's playpen was right by my desk. At this time he was about 15 months. I was wearing a headset but this woman was very loud. When she said she felt fine, my grandson smacks his hand to his forehead and shakes his head sadly. THAT is what was cracking me up. (We swore his first words were going to be "ISP Help Desk". And, yes, now at 8 years old, he is a little geek.)

I have been using Vista Ultimate 64 for a wile now and I acctually like it quite a bit but I have heard from several sources that Windows 7 is better and is acctually a really good OS even though it's a lot like Vista is now.

Vista Home Premium 64bit here....Flawless Victory....

So sad that Vista seems to be a real crap shoot for most. Vista Ultimate 64 bit here and have had no problems. I have enjoyed it a lot more than XP. So hard working on XP at work since I am so used to Vista at home. Everything runs like a champ, even if it does eat up a lot of RAM. lol

I use Vista 64 bit. Only because XP 64 bit won't work with my Ipod. I'd still be with XP if it weren't for that.

Vista Ultimate 64bit here and i love it, been a Vista user since it first came out and have not had any problems...
