    Optimizing tools

Post by lorddrow on Fri May 09, 2008 1:02 pm

Anyone try those Auto Optimizing tools out there? I was wondering if they worked or caused more problems than fixed.

This one peaked my interest (Advanced System Optimizer v2.0).. Any comments?

    Thanks

I have tried some of the auto-optimizing tools that are built into the Nvidia overclocking software called Ntune. I'm not a fan of Ntune anyway, but i didn't care for the auto-optimizing either.

I always like to tweak the settings myself. Seems that you can squeeze more performace from your system and you always know what settings you adjusted.

The automatic method can sometimes change stuff you didn't know it changed. If your system starts having problems you may not know where to begin in order to fix the problem.
