Hammerfist Fantasy Football anyone?

Hey guys and gals,

I am an avid fantasy football player, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in starting a Hammerfist league, or leagues, this year for some fun? Heck, who knows maybe the Hammerfist Bowl winner could recieve a special forum medal..? Hmmmmm, that will look so nice next to my name too...

I would be down for sure. I play in a competitive league, usually a $500 pot, with my dad and a few of his friends every year, would be nice to be in another just for fun league.

We almost have enough for a 3 division league, which is good. Let me know your thoughts on what you guys and gals would prefer.

I have used Fanball.com for the past 5 years, and enjoy their interface, it does however, cost 9.95 for 2 teams. There is no prize for the league winner, except to be able to talk smack for the rest of the year about the beatdown they gave us. (I'm practicing my speech right now ) The league winner does however, not have to pay the next year for their teams.

There are other free sites out there that don't charge at all, so it will be up to you on whether or not you want to spend the cash. Let me know.

Brakk, in his coolness, has also Ok'd a forum medal for whoever wins the league championship. WOOOT!! Thanks Brakk!!

The draft, well, heck, I was thinking about waiting until mid july to finalize the league/divisions, to give more people time to join if they want. Then we can start the draft 1st Aug, plenty of time to set things up.

Let me know your thoughts, and thanks for wanting to play, this will be fun!!

the longer we wait to draft, the better, because of training camp injuries and what not... don't want to have a Kellen Winslow Experience...

I have never done fantasy football but I have always wanted to. As long as we arnt playing for significant amounts of money, Im in.

Hopefully it will give me something to do at work besides post on the forums.

That is so true, i got hosed a couple of times in drafts because they wanted to go in July, uurgh.

Cool, depending on how we decide to go, the most it will cost is $10. I will be able to help you with any questions too regarding the draft and how to stuff. It's pretty easy
