Anyone have one? I just picked it up. So far so good though it didn't like my new gaming mouse pad. I'll be taking the pad back tomorrow. The mouse itself is quite nice so far.
I was really worried about going wireless due to being a gamer but I decided it was time to try it. At this price though it better perform.

I will say that it is one of the most comfortable mice I have held. The shape of it fits the hand perfectly and the thumb just rests in there nicely. The mouse has just enough weight to feel very solid in the hand but light enough that you don't think about using it.
The hardest thing for me to get used to is the main scroll wheel. It sits a little further forward than I'm used to with my MX518. This is something I can get used to though. The mouse does alot of different things but one thing I like is the scroll wheel. Depending on how you setup the software it will become a speed wheel or click - click wheel. When in speed mode you can freely spin the scroll wheel (Its near frictionless) and literly scroll down long pages or through multiple pages of docs effortlessly and FAST. But then when you want the scroll wheel to rotate like a conventional wheel it does. Quite neat.
the side thumb wheel can be used for anything but by default in Vista it pulls up that feature in Vista that takes all your windows including desktop and puts them into a 3d rotating feature that you can scroll through and pick the page you want. Works really easily with the mouse. The mouse also has a really sweet search feature. The small button behind the wheel when pressed for the first time opens a windows asking what your fav search engine is (I chose google of course) and from that point on when you place your mouse pointer over a word and click this button and it does a google search for you. Pretty slick.
I loaded up Age of Conan last night and had no issues and then tossed on Crysis. I didn't see/feel any lag at all. it seemed to me to work perfectly in crysis and it felt very smooth.
My only complaint really is that it doesn't like all surfaces to work on. I bought this high end gaming mouse pad with this super slick surface and the mouse kept stuttering and halting. At first I thought it was the mouse until I grabbed my old mouse pad and it worked great. I'm going to swap out my new pad with this one made by Rocketfish:
This double-sided mouse pad helps you improve your gaming abilities, allowing you to choose control or speed, depending on what you need.
Control side offers low-sensitivity response for professional design users
Speed side shortens mousing distance for high-sensitivity users
Nonslip feet keep mouse pad in place
Oversized anodized aluminum mousing surface ensures you have plenty of room
I just hope this mouse pad works good.
I'll be using the Uberoptions mod as well.
