Okay I have just ordered the upgrade CD for 64bit from Microsoft. All my hardware supports it, made sure of that. My question is do I have to reformat to install this version? Or can I just upgrade to the 64bit version?

Re: Vista 32bit to Vista 64bit
its an upgrade disc right? if so than you have to start it from within windows. It is a better idea to do a fresh install of your 32bit version and then run the upgrade, you risk compatibility issues with your current software.
(otherwise i would reformat before the install anyways.)

From what I have read it's impossible to upgrade 32bit to 64 so your going to have to do a fresh install. I wish you could just upgrade from 32bit, but it's not worth the pain and money right now.
