GUI mod
This has been out a few days I have been using it and like it over the default. I am sure there are more on the way. If you go add mods and you think you know what you are doing or don't always copy and save your gui folders somewhere before you get started

Can't wait for more of these to come out. Not a fan of the current UI.

Re: GUI mod
Been using Mirage mods now for over 3 years... His MirageUI for Conan rocks and I've been using it for a few weeks now with no issues. He keeps his mods up to date with every patch!

Re: GUI mod
The way mods work, is that the game loads them into memory. However, it checks the version of the mod (contained within the XML file), if that version number is out of date, the game will not load the mod. That goes for all AoC mods and not just this one.
So if you decide you want to mod the game, you will need to update it after every patch. Someone, however, has created an patcher program that you can use that will update all the version numbers to the current exe version. This requires you downloading an EXE though. I normally just download every patch.

Re: GUI mod
LOL... the game will always work... You will get a warning message that your files are out of date, then the game will load the default UI. So there is nothing to worry about.

Re: GUI mod
Cool...I think im going to have to try this UI. For my barbarian, the default UI worked fine. Now that I am toying with a ranger (which uses Ranged & Melee combos) the default UI is not cutting it.
Are there any issues or problems with this UI that I should watch out for?

Re: GUI mod
The 3 Small version is a little too small, I use the 2 Large or Normal version with an additional INGAME toolbar. Works great no issues. Just make sure you make a Backup of the cd_version folder just in case.

Re: GUI mod
G`day mates ....
This mod UI is great, also when Funcom patches and changes the version number .. as the game is loading it will actually tell you what your old numbers are..then it will also give you the new version numbers ..and then load the default ui until you change it
You can go into the mod ui in your Age of Conan and change the XMl numbers yourself in notepad.. its also very easy to do,im not that tech savy when it comes to that kind of stuff ,but i can do it, woot!!
Also,Ledmirage is pretty quick on keeping it updated
If your not sure how to change the version numbers ..let me know i can help ya out..
When i have some time,if enough people are not sure on how to do it .. then i should get off my butt and make a little walk thru
Cheers ...

Re: GUI mod
The new version of Mirage UI is out.
Version 1.5, 6/12/2008
You can get it here:
http://ledmirage.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3777
Version 1.5, 6/12/2008
- Revamped layout for all small variations so that there are no visible gaps between the bars (same as what was done with the normal bars in v1.4)
- Added a new Small size 4 Bars variation
- Added scripts for /commands, type /mui, /mirage or /mirageui to get a help menu on chat
- The experience bar graphics colors have been changed to purple for normal experience and light blue for "fresh kills" experience status
- Added new custom chat colors (they work now yay!)
- New graphics for the main shortcut bar page up and down arrows
- Fix for the bars shifting to the side when the experience bar is hidden
- Added a small variation of the two floating shortcut bars for all the small variation sets
- Other minor tweaks all around
You can get it here:

When I see the patcher updating I go get the new mirage, and install it as soon as patching ends. Very clean install.

Re: GUI mod
i have been using Mirage's UI's for years. he is consistant on updates, produces beautiful UI's, and in general is probably the best UI modder out there. True, there has been better UI's then mirage's over they years, but none have had his staying power and consistancy.
Mirage for President. Considering AoC has only been out for a short time, I can't wait to see what his mod ends up looking like.... and already it is pretty freaking awesome.
