Which graphics options to disable with least effect on visua

Which graphics options to disable with least effect on visuals? I'm looking to get more fps out of it (I have settings maxed except AA and antiscopic which are at lowest setting) What can i turn off that has the least inpact on how it looks but still gives me a boost. I'm getting around 20fps which is surprisingly very playable, but I'd like to get 30+. I'd like to keep the resolution at 1920x1200, but I may need to drop it down a notch if you guys can't think of anything.

set shader to 2.0 is what I did. Shadows only set to people. Textures on medium, lowered some of the draw distances.

Yeah, the "shadows from people" setting will give you a bump. Also, lowering some draw distances usually helps (it did in Oblivion, but seems to help less here). You could also lower the textures as Digger said, but I don't think I would go that route, personally. Try just lowering draw distance and fixing your shadow settings, and see how that helps. Dropping texture quality will obviously degrade appearance, and I wouldn't suggest this for you since you're really only trying for a slight performance bump.

Just disable shadows all together and you will get a very large performance increase, but the game still looks good.

I've read turning off the "Bloom" effect helps too.

Yes turn off bloom.. to me it makes things very "glowy" and hard to see.

Bloom is overrated. I would just turn it off and turn your brightness/contrast up and you will accomplish the same effect.

For me turning off bloom makes a huge difference. Definitely give this a try.

I turned off bloom and I jumped from 30-35 FPS to 55+, kept everything else maxed
