Q) What class and level are you? If you're not playing yet, what class do you intend to conquer Hyboria with?
A) Beckie is a level 33 Necro, Rebeca is level 15 Priest Mitra.
Q) We like to have fun, how's your sense of humor? Not so good? Good? You're a standup comedian you say?
A) I think I can keep up with the chat fairly well. I've played a number of other online games, starting with EQ1, and have always had fun guild chat relationships. I have 3 brothers, so I've learned to fit in pretty well in a more male based environment. I'm no standup comedian though... I'm just me
Q) What other MMO's have you played if any: [Acquired a few skills from some other games eh? Tell us about them]
A) I played EQ1 for years, pretty much since it first came out. I especially liked the social aspects of EQ1, and the emensely large areas to explore. I learned to raid in EQ1, to fail on a mob and come back and fail again, then come back, tenaciously returning until we won! I now apply these gaming ideas in my RL. I'm a better person for it all.
I loved saving my guildmates with my healing ways. I found my EQ guild experiences became part of my RL. I'd check the boards daily, eager to get home and raid with my cyberfriends. It was like a real family. I still have my EQ account. I stopped playing it about a year ago to play Lord of the Rings.
I fell in love with LOTR's graphics and music. I really love LOTR's character creation, pretty outfits, being able to have my own house with furnishings, and even jewel crafting. LOTR was especially fun because it allowed me to reconnect up with my early EQ1 guildmates, which includes Rhine and others in or interested in your guild.
I tried WoW a few years ago, playing 1 month. It didn't grab me compared to EQ. A couple months ago, some RL friends bought me WoW for my birthday. I again played it for the free month. I still don't like it even more.
I'm enjoying Conan tons for many of the reasons I enjoy LOTR. Except Conan is better in many ways. This is why I'm playing Conan daily, instead of LOTR. Rhine says you all are a great bunch of people. So if I'm invited to join, I suspect the social aspects of the guild experience in Conan will way excel over LOTR.
Q) What makes you want to join us over some of the other AoC guilds? [let us know!]
A) Well, I've been guilded with Rhine, Kefling, Crowfl and a few others who may apply for years. Rhine told me he had just joined, and that you all were fun. I don't know anything about any of the other AoC guilds. I'm a really good follower. I'm happy as long as I'm with my friends. And I'll surely make some new ones in your guild, if you accept me.
Q) What is your forum name on the official AoC forums?
A) MissRebeca
Q) Tell us a tidbit or two about you, outside of gaming. Maybe about your job, your hobbies, maybe what sports you like to play. Anything you'd like to share.
A) I'm a teacher in RL. This is why my characters have always been healers. But now my hidden darkside is emerging, and I've found a love for my necro! Perhaps my RL will take a switch accordingly.
My dad is from the Netherlands, so I enjoy travel (been making yearly visits over there to see friends and family).
I LOVE chocolate, and LOVE shopping. Both are guaranteed to improve my mood.
My parents own a cabin in Sierra Nevada, so during the summer months, I spend time there, biking, fishing, hiking and swimming.
I enjoy my morning workouts in Santa Barbara, and the Starbucks latte that I treat myself to afterwards.
My mottos are: "Enjoy this moment, for it will never come again." And, "Always look on the bright side of life." When I'm sad, I repeat either one of these in mantra form, and my sadness disappears.
I love life, and intend on living it forever.
Is that enough? Lol, I could ramble on this question forever!
